About Luton Urban Radio
Luton Urban Radio (LUR) is a grassroots community station founded in 1995 and now run by the Pulse of Luton CIC. It mixes music with community news, guest speakers, talk shows and local news, and supports wellbeing and heritage projects for older people in Bedfordshire.
The station has organised events from talent showcases to Windrush cabaret evenings, and has campaigned to restore Luton Carnival. It broadcasts on the Luton small-scale DAB multiplex (block 7D) and online.
