About Coast Radio
Coast Radio is the local station for Peterhead and Fraserburgh on 101.2 FM, broadcasting from the Mormond Hill transmitter. It took over the frequency from Waves Radio, which left the air in 2023, and launched in May 2024 from a base on Windmill Street in Peterhead.
Ofcom's format for the licence asks for a broad music and locally oriented information service for adults in the Peterhead area, with local news at least three times each weekday. The station is also carried on the Aberdeen DAB multiplex (block 11C).
